Ascent, a leading provider of comprehensive data center solutions, announces today it has delivered and expanded one of its several colocation suites at its enterprise class facility (TOR1) in Toronto, Ontario. In addition to the colocation expansion, Ascent has also achieved SSAE 18 SOC2 Type I and Type II status at the TOR1 data center, reinforcing the company’s service commitment to security and safeguarding clients’ data.
Located in Ontario’s Information Communication Technology (ICT) Corridor, between Waterloo and Toronto, in the City of Cambridge, Ascent acquired the TOR1 Data Center in 2017. The purpose-built facility and surrounding property enables Ascent to serve the growing demand for data center capacity in the world-renowned tech hub of Ontario. The colocation suite offers private cages and managed hosting services. Furthermore, tenants receive multiple bandwidth offerings starting at 10Megabits Per Second out of band management circuits and direct Internet access. There are also advanced bandwidth services starting at a 20Megabits Per Second single connection, going up to multiple 100Gigabits Per Second connections, with blended Internet connectivity options via BGP (Border Gateway Protocol).
Sitting on an expansive 41-acres with 112 Megawatts of potential gross power and 15 acres of space ready for development, the TOR1 enterprise-class data center offers unmatched, flexible availability. Ascent partners with customers of the facility to configure space, capacity and services for private cages, build to suit data center suites, and also offers customers the capability to migrate into fully fitted data center space.
